This delightful adaptation of the beloved “Ugly Duckling” fable and the award-winning musical is a heartwarming celebration of what makes us special. With a beautiful score by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe (Mary Poppins), Honk! JR. is a heartwarming celebration of being different that is sure to delight audiences of all ages with its sparkling wit, unique charm and memorable score. Witty and hilarious, but also deeply moving, Honk! JR. will treat your audiences to equal amounts of laughter and tears.

Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother’s protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry Cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out being different is not a bad thing to be.

Once registered, you will receive an AUDITION PACKET so that your child can prepare for auditions. There will be singing, acting and dance auditions. The CaPAA team provides a safe and encouraging environment during the audition process. We will take time to review some of the songs, discuss the characters and take the time needed to explain the audition process. It’s OK if your child hasn’t performed in a show before or if it’s his/her 20th one- just encourage them to do their best- this is NOT “Broadway-bootcamp!” 🙂

Registration for our Spring Production of FROZEN, Jr. will be available shortly. Questions? Contact Sheri Melcher at sheri@capaa.org/ 570-252-4156.
