Kayla Melcher has been involved in theatre her whole life– on stage and behind the scenes. She is currently the scenic designer, set painter and prop master for the Creative & Performing Arts Academy of NEPA and Ritz Mainstage productions located at the historic Ritz Theater in Scranton. She earned an Associate’s Degree in Theatre from Northampton Community College in 2019 and is looking to continue her studies in technical theatre with a concentration in set design, lighting design and set painting. She has completed summer internships as both stage manager and technical crew for Northampton Community College’s Summer Theatre Program and Muhlenberg’s Summer Theatre Program.
